Widget builder is still kinda mystifying to me. I have hard time with html or anything I can’t pronounce.

for example if you go to Pinterest page in the top right hand corner you will see

  1. A RED “X”
  2. 3 dots … with a grey circle around it
  3. A circle with your image or picture in it.

Click on the circle with your picture or image on it. Under that you will see Profile and few others listed. Interested in the Profile one.

Click on Profile.  You will the see Pins Boards and Tried. Click on Boards. This page will list all your boards.

Click on the Board that you want to do Widget building on.  On the Top of that Board you will see a pencil, 4 arrows and 3 dots. Hit the 3 dots

Under that click on Make a Widget. This is where it becomes a bit confusing. For me anyway.  You should see a screen with a preview of your widget.

Below that you find this

Copy and paste this code into your page where you want your add-on to appear:

a data-pin-do=”embedBoard” data-pin-board-width=”400″ data-pin-scale-height=”240″ data-pin-scale-width=”80″ href=”https://www.pinterest.com/wendy_friedrich/rich-pins/”></a>
Don’t forget to include pinit.js once per page, right before the closing </BODY> tag.
script async defer src=”//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js”></script>
Now just for the sake of being senile. Truthfully what does that tell you???
Copy and paste this code into your page where you want your add-on to appear:
My Page!! I thought  Widget builder was suppose to make a Widget that went on Sidebar??  Not sure if i want it on my page or in a post. As you can see by my web page I placed on the sidebar. Going to try and swap it out once a week to give a different view of what I am doing in Pinterest or Twitter for that matter.
Don’t forget to include pinit.js once per page, right before the closing </BODY> tag.

A what?? pinit.js What on earth does that even mean. I took it do be Pin It Java Script but I could be wrong Just guessing I am. Ok Put right before the closing </Body> tag Great What Body, where and how do I find it.

Footer.php
Footer.php
I had to do some digging to figure that one out. They figure everyone is computer literate. Hmmm Not this chickie!!!! But I am learning. Albeit it kinda slow. That being said having to search for answers slows down my process of getting ahead as well.
First thing you need to do is paste the following script in your footer.php file right before the body close tag. You can locate the footer.php  under Appearance then under Editor Search along the right hand side of the page until you locate Theme footer . In italics you will see footer.php underneath that. Click footer.php and scroll to the bottom of the page until you see the </body>This where you paste the pinit.js

Ok How are we doing thus far?? Am I correct or do I need to make changes??

Now for the board Widget. Under Appearance click on widgets
Look under available widgets for one the reads TEXT Click move to sidebar. Open it up and paste the other code
Hit save. You should be able to view it now. Have a gander (Look see) and click publish.
